What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

As I grow older, the years seem to become more eventful. The positive events from last year include:

• Finalizing the registration of a flat in Mumbai in my son’s name. With that, I now own three homes: two in Mumbai and one in Kerala. Much to the shock of my ‘near’ relativessome of whom have still not recovered from the aftereffects.
• My son completing three years as a chartered accountant, which means he is now due for a promotion.
• My wife completing ten years of adhering to a strict regime of walking and running five kilometers, five days a week. This consistency makes me jealous.
• I got an opportunity to move ‘partially’ to my house in Kerala due to work-related commitments. Here, I live alone and do tasks like cooking, cleaning, gardening, and, of course, my office work. I am now enjoying a life of solitude, occasionally broken by long phone calls.
