At 55, there aren’t many tasks left for me to try for the first time. I have done most of what was necessary to get where I am today. However, if I had to make a list of things I’ve never tried, it’d be quite the collection. Let’s see…
- Learn to eat with chopsticks: Why bother when spoons, forks, and fingers get the job done just fine?
- Grow my hair out to my shoulders: Honestly, that’s a look I can’t even imagine pulling off, not even under extreme duress.
- Wear bright clothes: My son might approve, but that’s not happeningnot in this lifetime.
- Try to appreciate heavy metal: No disrespect, but it’s way too heavy for my ears to handle.
- Join a religious cult: People my age seem to fall into this trap sometimes, but I think I’ll pass, thanks.
- Be nice to my neighbors: Yeah, that’s a hard no. We ignore each other perfectly well. Why mess with a system that works?
I could keep going, but I’m sure you’ve got better things to do. So, I’ll leave it there. Have a good day!
