Today pictured a year ago

A year ago, I imagined what my life might look like todayand remarkably, it’s turned out quite close to that vision. I’ve always been someone who thrives on detailed plans and meticulous execution, much to the mild irritation of my wife and son 😄.

Planning things to the smallest detail has its perks. I’m rarely caught off guard, and I feel in control. On the flip side, my tendency to overprepare means I sometimes pack for a trip weeks in advancean amusing habit that doesn’t always win me points with those around me!

Last year, I started planning the next chapter of my lifethe phase where I’d leave the hustle and bustle of Mumbai and settle down in Kerala. The plan was to make the move a few years down the line, but life had other ideas. Due to work-related obligations, I had to accelerate my timeline.

Today, I find myself living in Kerala and regularly shuttling back and forth to Mumbai. It’s a hectic routine, filled with travel and moments of solitude, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. There’s a unique joy in seeing a long-held plan come to lifeand even more joy in embracing the unexpected twists along the way.

Advance planning may have its quirks, but it’s what makes this phase of my life so fulfilling.
