What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom is a cherished ideal, encompassing the right to think, speak, and write without societal constraints. However, true freedom comes with a clear boundary: our words and actions must not harm others. Expressing viewpoints logically, respectfully, and without malice fosters meaningful dialogue and mutual understanding. Recently, we’ve witnessed groups resorting to violence and vandalismdefacing public property and ancient artifactsto push their agendas. Such acts are not civil disobedience but reckless destruction. The “my way or the highway” mentality undermines even the most valid causes, alienating others and eroding credibility. This applies equally to religious groups that use violence to suppress differing beliefs, betraying the principles of coexistence. True freedom thrives when tempered by tolerance and compassion. By respecting others’ rights and expressing ourselves thoughtfully, we create a world where diverse perspectives can coexist harmoniously. Let’s champion a freedom that uplifts, not divides.
