Think back on your most memorable road trip.

Decades ago, I embarked on a road trip that still holds the top spot in my treasure trove of memories. I must have been just fifteen at the time. Interestingly, I wasn’t the original travelerit was supposed to be my uncle. However, a last-minute commitment meant he couldn’t make it, and I stepped in as his replacement. The journey was a week-long tour of religious and tourist destinations across South India. We began from my hometown near Trivandrum and set out for our first stop: Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. Known for its stunning confluence of three seas, Kanyakumari is also home to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, dedicated to the great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda. Standing there, surrounded by the vast expanse of water, was truly awe-inspiring. Next, we traveled to Rameshwaram, an island separated from mainland India and just 40 kilometers from Sri Lanka.
