Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you

Let me start by making one thing clearI don’t have a favorite pair of shoes. Why? Because I own only one! Working remotely has its perks, and one of them is rarely needing shoes. My usual outings involve quick trips to the nearest mall for groceries, where my trusty sandals serve me well. No laces, no hasslejust slip them on and go. But I do own a single pair of Adidas sports shoes. Their moment of glory? When I travel from Mumbai to Trivandrum. Those shoes have touched the floors of every major airport in South India, making them my most well-traveled possession. At home, though, it’s a different story. My flip-flops are my constant companions. They’ve been through it allhelping me dash around the house fixing things (or sometimes breaking them further), getting covered in dirt while I tinker in the garden, and even carrying me up ladders to… Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you

What’s cooking?

Lately, I’ve been living alone, which means cooking for myself. It also means cleaning up afterward, but that’s another story! I’ve been experimenting with different recipes, trying to find meals that are both convenient and satisfying. I prefer a heavy breakfast and lunch while keeping dinner light. My go-to cooking strategy is making meals in bulk and storing them in the fridge. This saves me from cooking every day, which, while slightly repetitive, is far better than spending precious work hours in the kitchenI work remotely, after all. My food choices are simple: low in spice, easy on the stomach, and good for overall health. I’m always on the lookout for new ideas, and thankfully, YouTube never fails to deliver inspiration.

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visit.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been shuttling between Kerala, my home state, and Mumbai, my adopted one. Both places are rich with incredible spots I’ve yet to explore. It’s almost ironicso much to see, yet so little time or go around to visit. When will I start? Honestly, not anytime soon. My workload has significantly increased (I work remotely), which means long hours in front of the screen and less time to even think about trips or vacations. That said, I am still holding on to my travel dreams. I hope to explore all the hidden gems Kerala has to offerremote places untouched by tourists, free of touts, and brimming with natural beauty. From serene backwaters to lush forests, these wonders crafted by Mother Nature are at the top of my bucket list. And, of course, I plan to share these experiences with my wife and son.
