Was today typical?

My days? Pretty predictable, typical, and I’m totally okay with that. I’m a creature of habit, sticking to the same routine from the moment I roll out of bed to when I finally crash at night. I thrive on the comfort of “typical.” Shake things up? That takes some serious planning, and honestly, I’d rather save my brainpower for work. But here’s the thing—life doesn’t care about my love for routine. It’s like life’s got a mischievous side, tossing curveballs my way just when I think I’ve got it all figured out. Those unexpected twists force me to pivot, adapt, and rethink my game plan. Luckily, I’ve got a secret weapon: five decades of experience. Yup, I’ve racked up plenty of wisdom—and a fair share of epic fails—over the years. Those lessons? They’re like guardrails, steering me toward the path of least disaster. Here’s to keeping the chaos at bay… Was today typical?

What bothers you and why?

What bothers me is that the world feels like it’s spiraling. Wars rage in multiple corners of the globe. Agenda-driven politics, religious conflicts, state-sponsored terrorism, billionaires preaching climate change from private jets, and selfie-obsessed activists dominate the headlines. These are today’s celebritiestrendsetters who capture attention for all the wrong reasons. It’s enough to make you question whether humanity will survive the next century. My Solution: Control What You Can Amid this chaos, I’ve found solace in focusing on what I can control: myself. My approach is simple yet grounding: Sure, I indulge in the occasional cheat day (who doesn’t love a good pizza night?), but these are exceptions, not the rule. My philosophy? I can’t fix the world, but I can improve myself. Building Your Own Oasis By keeping my life organized and hazard-free, I create a personal oasis of calm. It’s not about ignoring the world’s problemsit’s about building… What bothers you and why?

What makes a teacher great?

When we hear the word “teacher,” most of us picture the educators who shaped our school or college years. For some, a single inspiring figure stands outa mentor who sparked curiosity or changed their path. For me, however, no such individual comes to mind. And yet, I’ve been fortunate to have profound teachers, not in the form of people, but in the lessons life itself has taught me. A great teacher, to me, is more than someone who recites a syllabus or follows a textbook. They are a guide, gently leading you through the doors of knowledge, simplifying the most complex ideas, and helping you turn weaknesses into strengths. They don’t just teachthey inspire growth and resilience. In my case, life’s challenges have been my greatest instructors. Every misstep, every failure, every moment of misfortune has been a lesson etched into my memory. I’ve made it a point not to… What makes a teacher great?
