What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

Over the next six months, I don’t foresee any major challenge on the horizon. The real tests might come about a year from now, tied to some exciting plans I’ve lined up. One big movequite literallyis relocating to a new house in Mumbai. That means selling the home we’re currently living in there. Another milestone I’m planning for is my son’s wedding. In India, we still hold on to some traditional ways when it comes to marriage. Parents often take the lead in arranging their children’s weddings, and I’m no exception. That said, I’m perfectly fine if he finds his own life partner. But if he doesn’t, we’ll need to kick off the process ourselves! This ‘arranged marriage’ would be entire based on his approval and not forced.

Summer in Mumbai

Summer in Mumbai has arrived. There is a period during the Mumbai summer from March to July when the weather remains hot and humid. You start perspiring as soon as you get out of the bath! You get to the point by May that you start to question whether there was ever a winter that year. Furthermore, you recall how the air conditioner or ceiling fan would stay off for months at a time. You begin to question whether that was only a dream. In July, the rains arrive. For the entire month, it rains, causing the streets to flood, dams to overflow, and forces you to remain indoors. You begin to question whether there was a summer that year. Was it so hot that you didn’t even consider switching off the air-conditioning or the ceiling fans? The cycle repeats.
