The list of major historical events I remember is long. Just when you think you have seen it all, another major event drops. For example, the moon landing? Apparently that happened about a month after I was born, but I was too busy being a baby to read the newspaper.  Then there’s Jimmy Carter getting sworn in as President. I vaguely remember it, but I was probably more concerned with figuring out how to tie my shoelaces. India declared an emergency in 1975-77.
