When I was a kid back in the 70s, it was the time of bell-bottoms. Long hair, huge shirt collars and yes, fashion changes over the years impacted me in a big way. I remember I had an orange colored shirt with crowns all over it. I was pretty impressed with it. You have to remember I must have been about five or six then and was not a very bright kid.  Then, if I recall correctly, the bell-bottoms slimmed down. The hair had to be trimmed, and people forgot all about side locks. When I was in college, it was all about tight shirts. The muscles had to show, even when you had none to show. I realized that I was able to slide into shirts and trousers just the way they came in from the ready-made shelf. No alteration required. That was, of course, an age when my tummy… Fashion changes over the years
