Pick up any newspaper and the flashy headlines attract our attention. In reality, it is the uninteresting news items that resonate more in our life.  Let me illustrate with an example. Irrespective of you paying your taxes, the streets after the first rains of the monsoon resemble the plains of the Moon.  News of the potholes that litter our streets are always pushed to a back corner in the news. The front pages of newspapers are covered with sensational, provocative headlines.  Life is similar in many ways. When you achieve your goal, succeed in an interview or exam, all that lingers is the moment you heard the good news. Your brain tends to forget all the hardships you encountered on the way. Listening to music while working

Under normal circumstances, I do not have a habit of listening to music while working. My work involves computers and programming, but not serious coding. These days it is more light work and also involves a lot of user management. This rule changes when I have some serious code-related work; then I have to have music running in the background. I listen to a selection of Indian movie songs from the 70s and 80s in languages such as Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and English. The singers are Kishore Kumar, Mohd Rafi, Yesudas, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie depending on my mood.  I am not sure how it works, but if I need to concentrate; I need music running in the background. The WordPress AI that generates daily prompts seems to be running out of ideas! Check the prompt that came out today. It says, Now check this with the prompt that came out yesterday Describe a risk you took that you do not regret. Besides this, most of these prompts were put out a year ago. I know, AI does what it is instructed to do. But does it not make you feel assured that your job is safe? If the much dreaded Artificial Intelligence copy-pastes old instructions that lack originality, then a human touch will always be required. That assumption would be the risk I am willing to take, and it looks like it is working out for now.
