Hello there, I am Manoj Nair, currently based in Mumbai, India. I am a writer who writes very short stories, and also loves to dish out unsolicited advice on this website.

Although I was born in the lovely southern state of Kerala, my childhood was spent traversing the length and breadth of this country. My father’s career in the Indian Army meant that I attended five different schools in the first ten years of my life. This nomadic upbringing instilled in me an appreciation for the diversity of India.

It was during this formative period that I discovered my passion for reading. I began with the tales of Noddy and Enid Blyton, and later graduated to the thrilling adventures of the Hardy Boys. As I grew older, my literary tastes expanded to include the works of renowned authors like Dick Francis and Fredrick Forsyth. The magic spell cast by the words of these writers continues to amaze and inspire me.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organizations, from multinational corporations to departments of the central government. Some of these roles have taken me to the remote corners of the country, places where there would be no electricity, running water, or roads that link them to the outside world. Surviving on rainwater and the hospitality of the locals has undoubtedly broadened my horizons.
