If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

I don’t have any pet at the moment, though I grew up in an Army family surrounded by dogs of various breeds. In fact, I once wrote a post about one of thema special memory etched in my heart.

Over time, however, my perspective on keeping animals has shifted. I strongly oppose chaining them up or confining them for our entertainment or security. There’s nothing more heart-wrenching than seeing a dog staring longingly from the tenth-floor window of a skyscraper.

Animals deserve freedom. They share this planet with us and have just as much right to live their lives as nature intended. Perhaps I should explore the idea of “unionizing” pets, make them understand their rights, get them to break the shackles and claim their slice of this planet.
