Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

Looking back on my life, I realize I’ve never accidentally broken the law. If I did something illegal, it was always on purpose. 😏

Like the time I bribed a train inspector ten rupees for a seatyes, life was cheap back then. Or when I jumped a red light on an empty road, feeling like a rebel but really just in a hurry.

Reading this, you might think I’m some kind of carefree vagabond, living on the edge. But the truth is, I’m a perfectly normal, tax-paying, election-skipping citizen. At least during the daytime.

At night, however, my alter ego awakens. Fueled by anger from newspaper headlines, I burn with the desire to take vengeance on the system. But then, reality sets inI’m tired, sleepy, and frankly, too lazy to be an avenger. So I postpone my revolution for another day… and go to bed.

    1. Don’t remember the exact amount…this was three decades back..must have been 200 rupees for a confirmed ticket. I had a waiting list ticket, which must have cost considerably less. Guess the passenger did not turn up.
