I am assuming AI systems would be tasked with designing cities of the future. Even if humans were doing it there are some factors that would have to be taken into consideration:
- A city of the future would have to house millions. This will need a lot of space. Skyscrapers are not something I like but unfortunately would be a necessity.
- These skyscrapers will house tens of thousands and would need to include all the amenities of a small city
- This would mean everything from schools to hospitals. Shopping mall to swimming pools
- Most of this is already in existence. What would be different in the future is we would be confined to our cells. Which may sound boring but will be how we will exist in the future.
- Motorized sidewalks
- Recycled water 😩
- Automated garbage disposal
- Conservation of resourcesÂ
- Nuclear reactors powering these mega towers and mini cities
- Borders would be meaningless as we become more and more technology dependentÂ
- Food would be more in the shape of multivitamin tabletsÂ
- Robots and machines will take over professions like medicine, legal, driving, policing
- Business Corporations would be the powers controlling humanity instead of elected governments
This is a future I do not want to live in. But I guess it is inevitable in maybe a 100 years, that is if we do not nuke ourselves before that.
