I am not exactly a night or morning person. If anything, you could call me an early-morning person. And by early, I mean really early. My day begins at 3:30 AM. Yes, you read that right. And no, it’s not illegal (though it might feel like it to my neighbors). At that hour, I’m usually the only one awake, with my keyboard clacking and my light glowing like a tiny lighthouse in a sea of sleeping houses.
Of course, this schedule means I am off to bed by 8 PMassuming the world cooperates, which, let’s be honest, it rarely does.
So, what’s the upside of waking up at a time when even the sun is hitting snooze? Well, for one, I get the rare privilege of making noise when everyone else is fast asleep. Lights on, water running, pots clangingit’s like a free pass to create a mini ruckus with no immediate consequences.
But on a more productive note, these early hours are a haven for uninterrupted focus. Whether it’s diving into work, brainstorming ideas, or simply enjoying the quiet, there’s something magical about getting a head start on the world. It’s like having secret bonus hours to yourself before the day officially begins.
So, are you tempted to set your alarm for 3:30 AM? Probably not. But for me, it’s the best way to own the morningbefore it even starts.
