A task I have been avoiding

A task I have been avoiding is organizing our storeroom. It’s a modest 10×10 space, but navigating through it feels more like tackling the Hampton Court Maze

We have got boxes filled with cables from tech long past its prime, mobile chargers in varying states of disrepair, shelves packed with books, and enough household supplies to survive a year-long apocalypse.

The plan? To properly organize it all. Stack, rack, and arrange everything in such a way that anyonemeaning mecan find things when needed. But here’s the catch: the current “organizer” of the rest of my house is my wife.

I am perfectly content with the current system and can locate anything within minutes. Her version of a clean-up? Tossing out all the stuff I have “carefully collected” over the years.  I am totally against thatwho knows when I might need one of those extra, frayed, USB cables! For the sake of peace, we have agreed to leave the storeroom as is.

Why fix something that isn’t broken… yet?
