An all-time favorite album

I never really had an all-time favorite album. For me, it was more about a collection of songs gathered from different albums.

My generation’s definition of album and music meant big stereo systems, and of course, cassette tapes. Cassettes typically came in 60 or 90-minute lengths. We’d record songs on them and share them with friends, which was considered pretty “cool” back then.

One side of my tape would feature artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, and others from that era, while the other side reflected my Indian roots with songs by Kishore Kumar, Yesudas, and Asha Bhonsle.
