What are your future travel plans?

For over five decades my travel plans have made me crisscross India, balancing office work with breathtaking vistas. From the bustling markets of Delhi to the serene backwaters of Kerala, my journeys have painted a vivid tapestry of experiences. Yet, as the years unfold, I find my heart yearning not for another travel plan but for a deeper purpose—settling down and embracing a slower, more intentional life.

A Shift from Wanderlust to Roots

My home in Kerala, nestled amidst lush greenery, has long been a quiet sanctuary, locked away while I navigate Mumbai’s urban pulse. Now, I envision transforming this space into the heart of my next chapter. It’s time to trade fleeting adventures for meaningful pursuits that ground me in the present and enrich my future.

Dreams for a Productive Life

Settling down doesn’t mean stagnation—it’s an invitation to grow in new ways. My plans are simple yet fulfilling:

  • Mastering Niche Technology Skills: I’m eager to dive into cutting-edge fields, perhaps learning to code or exploring AI, to stay curious and relevant in a fast-evolving world.
  • Strumming the Guitar Melodiously: After years of dabbling, I’m committed to mastering the guitar, letting its strings sing stories of my journey.
  • Cultivating a Garden: My Kerala home will bloom with a garden—vibrant flowers, fresh herbs, and perhaps a mango tree—nurtured by my hands and inspired by nature’s resilience.

Rediscovering Hidden Gems Nearby

While my focus is on rooting myself, the explorer in me isn’t entirely retired. I’ve come to realize that adventure doesn’t always require distant horizons. Countless hidden gems lie just beyond my doorstep—untouched by tourist crowds, where nature reigns supreme. Think quiet hillocks draped in mist, forgotten trails lined with wildflowers, or serene beaches where waves whisper secrets. These local treasures, often overlooked in the quest for exotic destinations, will be my new playground.
