I’ve realized I don’t say no nearly enough. In the past, I’ve gone out of my way to help people, only to have them act as if my support was something they were entitled to never even acknowledging it. Over time, I’ve learned to stand up for myself.
Saying no isn’t easy; it’s rare that the other side takes it well. But there comes a point where you have to draw a line. Ultimately, you’re the one who has to look out for your self no one else will do it better. Once you accept that, the choices become clearer.
